Join Arlington and his 2 sons as they traverse the Caribbean promoting STEM through Aviation. Both Arlington and his sons share a passion for Aviation, and they have taken several trips together throughout the United States and the Bahamas.
Our Story
As a young boy growing up on the small Caribbean Island of Tobago (smaller sister island of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago), I would always dream of flying airplanes. I would always scamper outdoors when I heard the sound of any aircraft flying overhead…our house lay in the path of many aircraft departures ferrying European tourists back from their holiday trips.

While most young children my age would transition away from the stereotypical career interests of being a policeman or a fireman or a doctor as they grew older, I remained resolute in my determination to be a pilot from a very young age…something my mother would always remind me of as an adult. She would always smile with pride recounting my early childhood fantasies of flying and my absolute, sometimes myopic aspiration to be a pilot from as young as 3 years old.

Despite the financial challenges associated with achieving my childhood dream, the emotional support from my family motivated me to reach my goals. Through sheer determination and grit, I achieved an academic scholarship to attend University in the United States where I pursued an Electrical Engineering degree. While matriculating through my Undergraduate Program, I was also able to achieve my childhood dream of attaining a Commercial Pilot’s License through savings from scholarships, on-campus jobs and summer internships. Subsequently, I pursued a certification to become a flight instructor so I could share my passion and inspire others to achieve their goals of flying…to be honest experiences with new students recreated the thrill I felt the first time I took the controls of an airplane.

My hope is to inspire youth to dream big like I once did as a “plane crazy” kid. This Caribbean Island-hopping trip aims to share my passion for STEM with a focus on aviation with eager young minds that plants seeds for future aviators. Join me in this journey as island hop through the Caribbean in a Cirrus SR20 aircraft, making connections and inspiring future aviators at various stops in several islands along the way. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I would be blessed to undertake a “bucket list” trip island-hopping my way back from my new home in the United States to my native Caribbean home. Live vicariously with me and ride along as we inspire others to soar.
